School Bus
ELDT Theory
Build your understanding of the vehicle, the route, and the responsibility of transporting students.
Prepare for every route
School bus driving brings its own decisions: watching the space around the bus, managing loading and unloading, and helping students travel safely. Drive Prodigy connects those responsibilities to the knowledge you build before practical training.
Small details that students depend on
A mirror adjustment. A crossing ahead. An exit that needs to be ready. School Bus ELDT Theory helps you understand why these details deserve your attention. Explore four real lesson previews from the Drive Prodigy catalog, chosen to show how the course approaches visibility, vehicle readiness, and unexpected situations.
What you see makes a difference
Explore how mirrors help you monitor the areas around a school bus and understand where students may be difficult to see.
Be ready for the unexpected
This preview introduces a critical crossing situation and the importance of understanding how to respond when a bus cannot clear the tracks.
Know when the plans change
Recognize situations that may require an evacuation and connect emergency preparation to your responsibility for everyone on board.
Make readiness part of the route
Look at the interior checks that support student safety, from secure seating and handholds to the condition of the floor.
Learn the reason. Practice the routine.
A school bus inspection becomes more meaningful when you understand what you are checking and why. Theory builds that understanding; practical training gives you the opportunity to work through the skills in the vehicle.

What does the $100 course include?
